Larry Wheeler Announces Retirement
Effective August 1, 2010 Larry Wheeler retired from the petrochemical business after a 48-year career which included 37 years with Shell Chemicals and 11 years as an independent consultant (Larry Wheeler Consulting).
Larry Wheeler's consulting practice is being continued by Aman Amanpour, a former Shell colleague with extensive experience in both Middle East and European petrochemicals as well as integrated hydrocarbon industries. Aman was resident in Dubai 1998-2010 in a variety of senior management positions with Royal Dutch Shell and launched his consulting practice in 2010. His home office is now in Germany.
Aman continues to maintain the Middle East Petrochemical Project Database on his website, providing the most comprehensive listing of existing and planned Middle East petrochemical projects available on the web.
Larry continues to follow developments in the global petrochemical industry, and recently joined the Board of Governors of The Founders Club of the Petrochemical Industy. He is focusing on his mediation practice, www.lwmediator.com, travel and golf. Many thanks to all past clients and colleagues for their support.
